Personally, I do not like to put references on a resume, but I do have a typed up page in case the interviewer requests them.

Make sure the people you list as references know you are listing them and that they may be contacted. Tell them about the job so when they reply to the caller asking about you, they can make their answers align with the job.

Also, choose your references wisely. How do they sound on the phone? What kind of work do they do?

References can be powerful allies in your corner, as long as you choose them wisely.
