Prior Jobs

You have the job description of the job you are interested in securing. What roles in your prior jobs has similar responsibilities or skill sets? Make sure you list those on your resume.

Prior work experience - even if it was a summer job in high school, college, etc., still has a level of responsility that you can be talk about. On a resume, I would only go back about 5 to 7 years max.

Brag about yourself a little, especially if you were part of or spear headed a project. Be ready to talk about your role on the project during your stay there. If you had reached 110% of sales goals, or save the company $50,000 with a suggestion, make sure you convey that. Maybe make a mention of that in the cover letter.
